OCBC – Passion Amplified

The Brief

As a part of the 2017 BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore Fan Village experience for OCBC Bank, GOVT Singapore engaged Untitled Project to launch Passion Amplified, an interactive tennis game where in-game characters react solely to a user’s voice.

Our Approach

Tennis enthusiasts and amateurs alike were welcome to challenge each other in a 2 Player tennis match which employed voice recognition technology to measure the pitch, duration and volume of a players “shouts” to control their characters by informing the trajectory of a serve or a shot during the experience. One of the driving factors for players was seeing their on-screen avatars come alive with the sound of their voice, and to be able to interact with each other in an otherwise bizarre fashion.

Untitled Project designed and executed this experience from character and game animation, voice recognition technology design, to the overall interactive game-play experience.

The Result

This collaboration, which was supported by IMDA Singapore was a huge success at the Fan Village and has a hand in setting the bar for local agencies by utilising creative technology and encouraging the usage of fun and innovative solutions to foster relationships with audiences.
